Product & Services Control Adjustable Orifice Valve

Adjustable Orifice Valve

Adjustable Orifice Valve

Overview

The Adjustable Orifice Valve (AOV) is a device Installed at the outlet of coal pulverizers to balance the coal flow in each pipe leading to burners. It enhances combustion efficiency and reduces environmental pollutants caused by incomplete combustion.

Key Features

Uniform Flow Distribution

Uniform Flow Distribution: Resolves local overheating by ensuring uniform fuel distribution to each burner.

Efficiency Improvement

Efficiency Improvement: Reduces incomplete combustion, improving overall combustion efficiency.

Environmental Protection

Environmental Protection: Minimizes emissions of unburned carbon and other pollutants.

Operating Principle

  • The AOV adjusts the inner diameter of coal pipes to supply uniform pulverized coal flow to each burner.
  • It is installed between the burner and the pulverizer in a vertical section.
  • Both manual and automatic operation modes are available. Settings are based on the boiler manufacturer's design specifications or clean air flow test data.

Models

Swing Gate Type AOV
  • Immediate operation without purge processes.
  • Enhances straight flow of coal, minimizing turbulence effects.
  • 50% reduction in size and weight compared to the Opposed Gate Type.
Opposed Gate Type AOV
  • Requires gate purge before operation.
  • Maintains circular cross-sectional changes.

Specifications

  • Adjustable opening range: 50% to 100%.
  • Flow control using two gates operated by a single handle.
  • Coated with wear-resistant special materials (ceramic) for enhanced durability.
  • Coal distribution accuracy: Within ±5%.
  • Equipped with a scale for easy visibility of opening status.

Applications

  • Fuel flow control in coal-fired power plants.
