Overview

Fires occurring in coal conveyor belts are one of the major risk factors in coal-fired power plants. The belt system is continuously exposed to high temperatures and friction, increasing the likelihood of fire hazards. Therefore, it is essential to detect and respond to idler overheating at an early stage.

System Overview

The Idler Overheat Detection System is designed to continuously monitor abnormal overheating of conveyor belt idlers in real time, preventing fires and mechanical failures. Each idler is equipped with a thermostat to continuously measure temperature. When an abnormal temperature is detected, a signal is immediately transmitted to the central monitoring system, activating an alarm.
